Afropop singer Yemi Alade has politely turned down a compliment paid her by her fellow colleague and compatriot Seyi Shay.
Seyi Shay had hoped to put her friend Yemi Alade as the number one female artiste in Nigeria by calling her ‘African Beyonce’. Her innocent compliment was not accepted as she would have imagined.
The Effyzzie Entertainment lead act in the most polite manner possible said she adores Beyonce but there can never be another one.
‘My queen I love her, inspired by her but don’t wanna be a version of her. There can never be another her sef and there would never be another me’, she replied.
